Management Best Practices

QP sets itself apart from other industry players with a corporate culture that encourages learning and continuous improvement.

Nurturing Human Assets

We believe that the best way to guarantee our sustained success is to empower our people with professional skill sets and knowledge, so they can champion in their respective areas and offer the highest level of customer service.

Our training department is responsible for the planning and delivery of training programs that align with the company’s strategic development while also promoting team members’ personal growth.  Over the years, we have rolled out a string of highly successful programs including:

  • Annual Trainee Program
  • Talent Development Program
  • Management Development Program
  • Mentoring Program
  • Engineer Development Program
  • Education Assistance Program

The manufacturing sector is now facing the threat of a growing skills gap.  QP is actively addressing this issue by creating a clear career path that attracts the best and the brightest graduates.  Every year, we reach out to university students in the hope of inspiring fresh talent to join the industry.  Customized training and mentorship programs are offered to all graduate recruits to address their dynamic career development needs.

After years of intensive nurturing, a number of these graduate trainees have already become crucial members of our middle management team.

Continuous Improvement

A commitment to continuous improvement is the cornerstone of QP’s corporate culture.  It provides the inspiration we need to surpass our customers’ expectations, and enables us to become their trusted partners on the road to excellence.

The company has institutionalized this important concept by establishing a Continuous Improvement Department, which is dedicated to introducing the most promising new business strategies and best practices throughout the company.  It also continually reviews the company’s operations, identifies weak points, and makes recommendations for improvement.

To date, we have embraced a number of highly effective best practices including:

  • Lean Management
  • 6S guidelines
  • Theory of Constraints
  • Total Productive Maintenance
  • Training with Industry

In terms of our day-to-day operations, we also seek to implement all-round improvements, as these have been recognized as the most effective approach to rectifying operational issues.  Our Continuous Improvement Incentive Program is designed to encourage front-line staff to initiate and drive changes.  The management panel regularly evaluates suggestions put forward by staff members, and rewards creative ideas that add value to the company.
